We create funding partnerships with:
- Individuals
- Businesses
- Churches
- Foundations
- Organizations
Funds may be provided in many ways and amounts,
including a sponsorship for the total construction costs
of a house. In 2001, thanks to The Hall Perrine
Foundation support for the foundation cost of all
houses, the sponsorship cost of a complete home is
$40,000.
Contributions, in any amount, are always welcome.
Government or public financing partnerships are
encouraged, but only for property purchase and
development. Government funds are never used for home
construction.
The board of directors is ultimately responsible for
the financial health of Habitat. The executive director
targets half time in fundraising. And the fundraising
committee and sub-committees direct and support the
effort as well. Church relations and public relations
committees are involved in fundraising.
