About Cedar Valley Habitat
Building homes, communities and hope.
Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity partners with local families to build, rehabilitate and repair safe, decent and affordable homes throughout Linn and Benton counties.
CVHFH is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to expanding access to affordable housing. Families partner with Habitat by making a financial commitment and investing hundreds of hours of sweat equity into the construction of their homes and the homes of others.
Since 1988, Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity has built or rehabilitated more than 180 homes and served over 360 families. Today, the organization serves up to 30 families each year through a combination of new construction, home rehabilitation and repair projects.
“When a family slides that key into the lock of a house they’ve helped build, they’re unlocking more than just the physical front door to their new home. They’re unlocking their fullest potential. And where does that lead? Health. Education. Opportunity. Community”
– Jonathan Reckford, Habitat for Humanity CEO
Our Mission
Building safe, decent, and affordable housing.
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Cedar Valley Habitat works to eliminate housing locally through the construction, rehabilitiation, and preservation of affordable homes.
Habitat was founded on the belief that every person deserves a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent housing should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
All Are Welcome
