Could you decide between replacing your plumbing that freezes every winter, or paying your electricity bill on time to keep the heat on?

So many families are forced to decide every day how to best spend their limited resources, and you can make a difference in their lives. At Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity, we believe everyone deserves a place to call home. We seek to put God’s love into action, building safe, decent, affordable homes for families who are cost-burdened by renting, or live in unsafe or overcrowded conditions. That includes families like Samantha and her son Noah.

Samantha was sixteen years old when the flood of 2008 destroyed her childhood home, and the sense of stability it provided never really returned. After a decade of rentals and the birth of her son Noah, she was finally able to purchase a mobile home in 2018. While not having to worry about rent is some comfort, the trailer provides new challenges. “I just had to replace the roof, and every winter the pipes freeze,” says Samantha. “There’s mold under the sink and the washing machine has a leak. We’re tired of worrying about what we’ll have to fix next.”

Her living situation is unsafe and costly, and there are so many more families like hers who need our help. Now, more than ever, we need your help to end the hardships experienced by people like Samantha and Noah.

Please support Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity with a gift today and help us reach our goal of securing 500 donations by December 31.

Please help us continue our mission of building safe, decent, affordable housing in Linn & Benton counties, as well as performing owner-occupied repairs to give homeowners a second chance to keep their stability. Will you join us in building a world where everyone has a place to call home?

Thank you in advance for your generous support.
