Volunteer With Habitat for Humanity
Individual volunteers have made reaching Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity’s goals and achievements possible through their involvement with committees, assistance in the office, helping at ReStore, and efforts on construction sites. Currently, individual volunteers and volunteer groups are needed.
We plan to continue serving families locally through a combination of new construction, property rehabilitation and repair projects.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Construction Volunteer: You do not need to be an expert in construction to assist on a work site. There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others. We make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers regardless of skill level. All volunteers on the construction site must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Hospitality Volunteer: We have opportunities for those who are unable to volunteer on a worksite and would like to get involved in other ways. We are currently in need of generous volunteers to donate lunches, snacks, and drinks Tuesday-Saturday to fuel and hydrate our amazing volunteers!
- ReStore Volunteer Opportunities: ReStore has climate-controlled jobs to accommodate everyone. We need help assisting customers, cleaning, sorting merchandise, organizing inventory, and processing donations. All volunteers at ReStore must be at least 16 years of age or older. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. To learn more about volunteering at ReStore, click here.
- Committee Opportunities: We have several active committees, including Construction, Development, Family Support, Family Selection, and Safety. View additional Committee descriptions for more information.
