What is a ReStore?
A ReStore is a retail facility that recycles overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, businesses, contractors and individuals. These materials are then incorporated in the construction of Habitat homes or are sold to the general public at a discounted rate.
What happens to ReStore profits?
All income generated from the operation cycle back into Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity to support local and international building efforts. The ReStore will be an ongoing source of income for the affiliate.
How will the ReStore benefit my community?
The ReStore benefits many people in many different ways. The ReStore will offer new and used home improvement products to the public. It will be a great low-cost resource for contractors, landlords and do-it-yourselfers who can then improve the condition of area residences.
The ReStore will have a positive environmental impact as well. All of the materials sold by the ReStore will be diverted from our local landfill.
